A lovely place to eat! Family atmosphere with interesting paper place mats on the table to enjoy while your food is being prepared. If you're feeling rich and order the fried oysters, don't be shocked if you see a few green spots on them. That is normal and shouldn't offend the appetite of any loyal oyster eater. Great food with very consistent flavor. Consistency is my number one hobgoblin when dining out. I've eaten at Shrimpers all over the state of SC, and the flavor is always the same. I don't know if the Shrimper is a franchise or what not, but it has never let me or my family down in great flavor and portions. Kudos to The Shrimper! Keep up the good work!

If you're ever in Lake City, you MUST go to the shrimper. It is SOOOo good! It's pretty much a heart attack waiting to happen, I know. But who cares? The food is too great to pass up!

A great place to eat. One of the best places to eat in Lake City. It's been consistent for years. It always reminds me of my childhood eating here. So many times has our family gathered around the tables here that it's nice to revisit and see some things are as good as you remember.

Since I've been visiting this joint for the last few years, the food has slid and the prices have risen. Not a good trend. I usually eat the catfish dinner, take-out. The last visit was my last. I got a poorly prepared meal without fries, I had ordered them. The baked potato was not a good replacement. I might have enjoyed the catfish stew, but alas, they put in in the sack upside down, so it was all spilled in the bag when I got home. The service is "order at the counter" and staff delivers to the table for those who dine in. Otherwise, check your take-out sack to see if all is well, it often was not. The counter staff/cashiers are not at all pleased to be doing their job. Since the prices have risen, the food can be way less appealing with the poor quality of the fish. They don't change the oil often, so it all tastes fishy, even the fries when they actually come. Their slaw is of a good texture, but a bit too soupy. Ho Hum, skip them if you're at all interested in a good meal. If you just want to grab some grub for a quick $5, have at it! There's little competetion nearby, but I'll just drive on. . .

We came though here 2 years ago and it was really good so we stop in as we came though again. We were glad we did as it was just as good this time. The shrimp were great and very tasty. Not real big but good just the same. Big portions and fair price.

This place was ok.... some of the worker were rude. The outside looks better than the inside. Order a comb with shrimp and they gave me popcorn shrimp i wanted regular shrimp but they didn't ask. The hushpuppies where taste.
